About this item

Woodbridge Chardonnay White Wine unveils aromas of pear complemented by subtle oak and cinnamon. This California chardonnay wine's light to medium body and vibrant acidity showcase characteristic flavors of peach and apple, leading to a toasty finish with vanilla oak notes. Grapes in this California white wine are sourced from vineyards where warm days and cool breezes permit the grapes to mature fully for nicely balanced, well-rounded flavor. Oak aging on the lees further enriches the texture and complexity of this Woodbridge Wine by Robert Mondavi.

Food Pairings and Serving Tips

Pair this fresh yet silky chardonnay wine with light appetizers, as well as hearty dishes like roast chicken with white truffle risotto, or take time to indulge, enjoying a glass of wine on its own. For best flavor, chill this 1.5 liter bottle of wine for two to two and a half hours before serving at approximately 50°F.

From Robert Mondavi to Woodbridge Winery

Robert Mondavi was a pioneer and innovator in the California wine industry. After the outstanding success of his Napa Valley winery, Robert Mondavi pursued his second vision of creating delicious wines for everyday enjoyment. Having grown up in Lodi, Robert knew the region was ideal for growing high-quality grapes from which he could produce excellent wines at affordable prices. In 1979, he acquired a local cooperative of grape growers, naming the winery after a nearby town, and the Woodbridge Winery was born. He cultivated relationships with the local growers, employed unique growing techniques, and used state-of-the-art technology for winemaking. In fact, Woodbridge Winery was the first major winery to use the “direct-to-press” method for making white wine on a large scale. For more than 40 years, Woodbridge has been making classic wines that beautifully reflect the diversity of California’s wine-growing regions.
