About this item

Springtime Artesian Water originates in the Appalachian foothills and is bottled at the source–the deep and pristine crystalline rock aquifer. Springtime Artesian Water is micro-filtered and ozonated to ensure premium quality.

What Is Artesian Water?

Artesian water like Springtime Artesian Water comes from a well that taps an aquifer. Aquifers are layers of porous rock, sand and earth that hold water that's under pressure from the surrounding upper layers of rock or clay. Once tapped, the pressure in the aquifer, often called artesian pressure, pushes the water above the level of the aquifer, sometimes even all the way to the surface. Though this is the natural process of artesian wells, other methods may be used to help bring the water to the surface. According to the Environmental Protection Agency, water from artesian aquifers is often considered purer due to the confining layers of rock and clay that impede the movement of contaminants.

Are There Benefits to Drinking Ozonated Water?

Ozonated drinking water is considered to be highly beneficial, regardless of a person's health condition. The effectiveness of ozonated water has to do with the level and strength of the ozone in it. One of the primary benefits of ozone is that it's known to destroy pathogens that cause diseases.

About Springtime Artesian Water

In 1986, Springtime Artesian Water was developed and began being marketed in the southeastern United States as one of the first spring water brands of its kind. With the creation of Springtime Artesian Water, Southern Beverage developed a revolutionary concept in the bottled water industry. It was their intention to replace the standard bulky one-gallon containers with an updated look in a fresh, clear bottle that could readily fit in a convenience store cooler. The result was a product packaged in a lightweight PET plastic bottle, featuring attractive labels and produced on state-of-the-art equipment at speeds several times faster than rival facilities in the industry at the time.
